Aeros 5, Phillies 4
Giovanny Urshela scored on a wild pitch and Tyler Holt scored on a single by Jesus Aguilar in the top of the ninth inning to give the Aeros a come-from-behind Eastern League win over the Phillies on Thursday in Reading, Pa.
The Aeros trailed 4-2 after the fourth inning but scored in the eighth inning on an RBI single by Quincy Latimore to cut the deficit to a run. Urshela and Holt hit back-to-back singles to start the ninth inning before pitcher Kyle Simon threw a wild pitch to score the tying run.
Aeros starting pitcher Paulo Espino gave up four runs on six hits and struck out eight in the no decision. Reliever Trey Haley worked two innings of relief and struck out five for his first win of the season. Aguilar also hit a solo homer in the third inning and had an RBI double in the first inning.
The Aeros will play the Phillies at 7:05 tonight.
