Aeros 6, Senators 2
Shortstop Juan Diaz hit a single and a home run, batted in three runs and scored twice to help the Akron Aeros defeat the host Harrisburg Senators Saturday night.
The Aeros scored three runs in both the fifth and ninth innings.
Aeros starting pitcher Matt Packer benefited from the offense and got the win after tossing 6‚ innings. Packer struck out four, walked two and allowed seven hits and two earned runs.
Kelvin De La Cruz earned a save with 2· scoreless innings of relief. He struck out four and walked one.
Jordan Henry and Donnie Webb both had two hits and scored two runs for the Aeros, which had 12 hits total.
Akron also received two hits from Chun Chen, Michel Hernandez and Kyle Bellows. Chen had two RBI and Hernandez batted in one run.
Senators starting pitcher Tanner Roark took the loss.
