Aeros 10, Mets 2
Adam Abraham hit a three-run homer, Nick Weglarz hit a solo homer, Tim Fedroff had three RBI and the Aeros defeated the Mets 10-2 in an Eastern League game Friday in Binghamton, N.Y.
Abraham homered to score Fedroff and Chun Chen in the fourth inning to give the Aeros a 3-0 lead. Fedroff hit a two-run single and Chen grounded into a force-out to score Davis Stoneburner in the fifth to give the Aeros a 6-1 lead.
Stoneburner grounded into a double play to score Matt Lawson, and Fedroff singled to score Ben Copeland in the sixth to put the Aeros ahead 8-2.
Roberto Perez scored on a bases-loaded walk in the eighth and Weglarz homered in the ninth to give the Aeros a 10-2 lead.
Aeros starting pitcher Steven Wright gave up two runs on one hit over six innings and struck out six for his fourth win of the year.
The Aeros continue their weekend series against the Mets at 7:05 tonight. The game will be broadcast on WARF (1350-AM).
