Carlos Moncrief and Cedric Hunter each hit three-run home runs to lead the Aeros to an 11-5 win over the Baysox in an Eastern League game at Canal Park on Thursday afternoon.
Moncrief and Hunter each went deep in a six-run seventh inning to help the Aeros end a five-game losing streak in front of 8,914 fans, the largest home crowd of the season.
The Aeros (21-26) had 12 hits in the game, including RBI doubles from Ronny Rodriguez, Jake Lowery and Jesus Aguilar. Hunter also had an RBI double and Jose Ramirez had a triple for the Aeros.
Starting pitcher Will Roberts gave up two runs in 5⅔ innings and struck out two for his third win of the season. Roberts allowed a two-run home run to Steven Bumbry and Austin Adams gave up a solo home run to Caleb Joseph.
The Aeros travel to Erie for a three-game weekend series against the SeaWolves beginning tonight at 7:05.
