Chun Chen delivered an RBI single in the top of the 11th inning to snap a 4-4 tie and lift the Aeros to a 5-4 Eastern League victory over the host Bowie Baysox on Wednesday afternoon.
Chen had three hits with two RBI, including his single up the middle in the 11th off Sean Gleason (0-1) that drove in catcher Michel Hernandez, who led off the 11th with a double.
First baseman Adam Abraham had a perfect day, walking four times and hitting two singles.
Shortstop Davis Stoneburner had a double and two RBI and Thomas Neal had two hits and drove in a run.
Starter Steven Wright pitched 7⅓ innings. He allowed two runs on eight hits with one walk and five strikeouts.
Aeros right-hander Rob Bryson (1-0), who gave up a run in the 10th to surrender a 4-3 lead, came back with a strong 11th as he retired the Baysox in order to earn his first win.
The Aeros begin a seven-game homestand against the Altoona Curve at Canal Park at 7:05 p.m. Friday. Left-hander Giovanni Soto (2-0, 5.02) will start for the Aeros.
