The Aeros finished the regular season with a 6-0 victory Monday afternoon against the Flying Squirrels in Richmond, Va.
Brett Brach (5-7, 3.65) got the decision, giving up two hits, a walk and two strikeouts, while Hector Rondon and Jose Flores worked the last three innings.
Jesus Aguilar had a home run and two RBI, while Tyler Holt and Davis Stoneburner each had two hits, an RBI and a run.
The Aeros, winners of the Eastern League Western Division (82-50), will begin playoff action at Bowie on Wednesday night at 7:05 in a best-of-five series. It is Akron’s 13th playoff appearance since 1989. The 82 wins is sixth best in the franchise’s 24 years.

On Wednesday, Carlos Carrasco will make a one-inning rehab start for the Aeros, while Dylan Bundy (2-0, 3.24) will get the ball for the Baysox.
