Aeros 6, Sea Dogs 3
Jose Ramirez got two hits and scored three runs to lead the Aeros to an Eastern League win over the host Portland Sea Dogs in a game that featured a long rain delay.
After Carlos Moncrief hit a solo homer in the second inning to give the Aeros the lead, the first of three singles by Cedric Hunter scored Ramirez in the third.
The Sea Dogs (34-31) responded with a three-run fourth to take the lead.
The Aeros (33-33) bounced back in the fifth when a single by Ronny Rodriguez scored Ramirez and took the lead in the seventh when a single by Hunter again scored Ramirez.
Moncrief walked and scored on a wild pitch in the eighth and Rodriguez doubled and scored on a double by Jesus Aguilar in the ninth to make it 6-3.
Aeros starter Brett Bach (4-2) gave up three runs on six hits in six innings. He walked two and struck out four. Jose Flores pitched the ninth for his seventh save.
