Aeros defeat Richmond 3-2; McFarland stays hot
Quick Hits: T.J. McFarland improved to 8-1 for the season in the Aeros’ 3-1 win over Richmond Sunday.
He lasted seven innings, allowed one run and struck out six. He’s now allowed one run over his last 21 innings pitched.
McFarland is leading the Eastern League in wins and is third in ERA (1.79).
After totaling 35 hits and 31 runs in the previous two games, the bats continued to roll. The Aeros only put up three runs but finished the day with 10 hits. Adam Abraham, Thomas Neal and Davis Stoneburner all drove in runs.
The Aeros will now travel to Trenton for a four-game set. On Thursday, they’re slated to face Adam Miller, formerly a top prospect in the Indians organization.
