Aeros starting pitcher T.J. House gave up five runs on seven hits through 5⅔ innings and the host Baysox defeated the Aeros on Thursday night in Bowie, Md.
House (0-1) allowed two walks and had four strikeouts in the loss. House allowed two runs in the bottom of the third and a single run in the fourth, fifth and sixth innings.
The Aeros scored in the top of the fifth when Giovanny Urshela came home on a wild pitch by Baysox starter Kevin Gausman.
Urshela doubled to lead off the inning and scored on the wild pitch during the next at-bat.
The Aeros had four hits, including singles from Jesus Aguilar, Quincy Latimore and Alex Lavisky.
The Aeros left four on base and were 0-for-5 with runners in scoring position.
Gausman worked six innings and allowed one run on two hits and struck out five for his first win of the season.
The Aeros continue the four-game series against the Baysox at 7:05 p.m. today.
The game will be broadcast on WARF (1350-AM).
