Carlos Carrasco gave up four runs through two innings and T.J. House gave up five runs through 3⅔ innings, and the Aeros’ pitching could not hold off the offense of the host Trenton Thunder on Friday night for an 11-7 loss.
The victory in Game 3 was the Thunder’s first of the Eastern League Championship Series, which the Aeros still lead 2-1.
The Thunder scored four runs in the first inning and four in the fifth to take an 8-7 lead.
The Thunder added a run in the sixth, seventh and eighth to put away the Aeros and force a Game 4 tonight at 7:05 in Trenton.
The Aeros had a 5-4 lead in the third inning after Adam Abraham hit a solo home run in the second and Jesus Aguilar hit a two-run double in the third, but the Thunder tagged House for four runs in the fifth to take the lead for good.
The Aeros added two runs in the fifth on an RBI single by Matt Lawson and an RBI groundout by Abraham.
Tonight’s game will be broadcast on WARF (1350-AM).
