Baysox 7, Aeros 5
Brian Ward scored on a wild pitch and Jonathan Schoop followed with an RBI single to break a 5-5 tie in the bottom of the eighth inning and give the host Baysox a win over the Aeros in Game 2 of their best-of-five Eastern League playoff series Thursday.
The Aeros and Baysox each scored in the first inning and the Baysox scored again in the second to take a 2-1 lead. The Aeros tied the game in the top of the fourth on an RBI single by Ryan Rohlinger, but the Baysox scored two runs in the bottom half of the inning to go ahead 4-2.
Tyler Holt doubled to score Jordan Henry in the fifth and the Aeros were able to take a lead in the sixth after a two-run home run by Rohlinger. But the Baysox tied the score 5-5 with a run in the bottom of the sixth before scoring the winning runs in the eighth.
Aeros starting pitcher T.J. House gave up four runs on six hits through five innings in the no decision. The Aeros face elimination at 7 p.m. today at Canal Park in Game 3 of the series.
