Rock Cats 5, Aeros 4: Rock Cats rally in 12th to top Aeros

Rock Cats 5,
Aeros 4 (12 innings)

The Aeros got the run they thought would earn them a win in the top of the 12th inning against the host New Britain Rock Cats (50-59), but reliever Shawn Armstrong (0-2) put the first two batters on before allowing a two-run walk-off double to Minnesota Twins top prospect Miguel Sano.

Jake Lowery scored the go-ahead run for the Aeros in the top of the 12th on a wild pitch after doubling and advancing to third on a groundout.

Toru Murata started for the Aeros (53-56) and pitched well in a no-decision, striking out eight in six innings and allowing two runs on five hits and two walks.

Austin Adams worked a scoreless seventh inning for his eighth hold before Jeff Johnson blew his first save of the season.

Tyler Holt led the Aeros at the plate with two singles, a double and an RBI. Matt Lawson singled and tripled. Francisco Lindor went 0-for-5 but walked and scored a run.
