After the Phillies scored three runs in the top of the first inning, the Aeros (69-66) came back with five in the bottom of the inning in a 6-4 win Monday night at Canal Park.
Raul Padron had two hits, including a single that drove in two runs in the first, and finished with three RBI.
The Aeros’ first-inning rally included a two-run triple by Juan Diaz and Chun Chen’s RBI single.
A double by Padron in the third inning scored Kyle Bellows for the sixth run of the game.
Aeros leadoff hitter and center fielder Jordan Henry had two hits, and designated hitter Michel Hernandez had three hits.
Matt Packer (8-12, 4.37) survived the first inning and ended up going eight innings for the win, scattering six hits, walked two and struck out four.
In the second of the four-game series, right-hander Brett Bach (1-1, 3.31) of the Aeros faces the Phillies’ Austin Hyatt (11-6, 3.87).
