With five games left and the University of Akron enjoying a two-game lead on Kent State and Buffalo in the Mid-American Conference East Division, every basketball game looms large.
It’s no surprise then that ESPN2 picked up the season finale between the Zips and Golden Flashes, which will air at 7 p.m. March 2 from the M.A.C. Center in Kent.
It’s the 21st consecutive televised meeting between the two teams and UA’s 13th TV game of the year. The Zips are 8-2 when on television.
The Zips have two games left at home and three left on the road. Including this weekend’s Sears BracketBuster game against Oral Roberts, three will air on an ESPN networks.
