Known as a big hitter, Bell totaled 320 career tackles, second on the school's all-time list and fifth in Mountain West Conference history. Starting 26 of 41 career games, he added 101/2 sacks, 27 tackles for losses, six forced fumbles, one recovery, five pass deflections and four interceptions, one for a touchdown. Became a starter at middle linebacker for the final seven games of his sophomore season. Started the first seven games of 2006 before suffering a sprained left ankle. In 2007, became the first UNLV linebacker to be named All-MWC Defensive Player of the Year. In 12 games as a senior, had 126 tackles (79 solos), 91/2 for losses, five forced fumbles, four interceptions, three sacks and three pass breakups. A native of Tustin, Calif. Played safety, outside and inside linebacker, defensive end, tailback and fullback and also kicked and punted in high school.

Started all 50 games played and set the school's career reception record (203) and the Big 12 career mark for a tight end. His 2,175 receiving yards stand second in school history. Had 834 receiving yards in '07, and his 84 catches produced 56 first downs. Forty-one went for at least 10 yards and six for at least 20. Ten catches came in the red zone, eight on goal-line plays. Had career-high eight touchdowns as senior (18 career). Career-highs of 11 catches for 115 yards vs. Western Michigan on Sept. 15. Was named first-team All-America by the Associated Press. Attended same college as Hall of Fame tight end Kellen Winslow Sr., now will play with his son. Rucker's brother Mike (an All-American at Nebraska) retired April 22 after nine seasons as a defensive end for the Carolina Panthers. Father Martin Sr. is a member of the Missouri House of Representatives. Native of Jefferson City, Mo.

Enrolled at Iowa State just before the 2006 season opener after two years at Trinity Valley (Texas) Community College. In 24 games (21 starts) at Iowa State, he totaled 76 tackles (42 solos), eight tackles for losses, 21/2 sacks, five quarterback pressures, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery and one pass breakup. Played guard at Trinity as a sophomore, his first time on offense, and graded 83.9 percent with 90 knockdowns. In 2007, made all-Big 12 honorable mention as a nose guard, finishing eighth on the team in tackles with 42. Lives in Pensacola, Fla.

Came to Wisconsin on a track scholarship after winning state Division 4A high school titles in the long jump and triple jump at Widefield High in Colorado Springs, Colo. Won those events in the USATF Junior Olympic Championships in 2003 (had a wind-aided 52-7 in the triple jump in '03) and lettered on the Badgers' track team in 2003-04. Joined the football team in 2003 as a walk-on and redshirted. In the past two seasons, caught 52 passes for 932 yards and five touchdowns. As a starter in 21 games, he averaged 2.48 catches and 44.6 yards per game. Missed five games with a sprained right MCL in 2007, when he caught 14 passes for 305 yards (21.8 average) and no touchdowns, but made All-Big Ten honorable mention in the coaches' voting. Finished second on the team in '06 with 38 catches for 627 yards and 5 touchdowns.

Converted from tight end to defensive end as a redshirt freshman in 2004 at the historically black Division II school. Started 34 games the past four seasons. The Falcons' career leader in quarterback sacks (25.5) and tackles for losses (49.5) since the college resumed football in 2002. Also set the school record for sacks in a season (13 in 2006) and in a game (4.5). Slowed by a neck stinger early in 2007, he still made all-league for the second consecutive season with seven sacks and 15 tackles for losses for a defense ranked sixth in the nation. Also lettered in basketball in high school. A developmental pass-rusher who is still growing into his body. Lives in Glenarden, Md.
