Dolphins' Goodman a no-show for Browns

By Marla Ridenour
Beacon Journal sports writer

Miami Dolphins free-agent cornerback Andre' Goodman was scheduled to visit the Browns today, according to the Miami Herald. But as of this morning, Goodman was still in Denver talking with the Broncos, Cleveland.com reported.

Strong safety James Butler of the New York Giants went back to Atlanta after visiting the St. Louis Rams on Friday and Saturday, Rams General Manager Billy Devaney told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. Butler's agent, Carl Poston, told the Newark Star-Ledger that Butler had planned to visit the Browns after leaving St. Louis.

Another safety who had drawn interest from the Browns, James Sanders, elected to re-sign with the New England Patriots, the Boston Globe reported.

How come no one wants to interview with the new Browns regime? Has our reputation become that terrible?

I think this just proves how much the Browns suck when most free agents will not even come near Cleveland

No, the Broncos wouldn't let him leave Denver until he signed with them. That's how it's supposed to be done, if the Browns did that a few years ago, Bart Scott would be a Browns veteran.

3/4 of the team was a no-show in 2008. Glad the new coach cut out the cancerous growth that had been infecting the team for 5 years.

Too bad. I kinda like John Goodman!

He'd be a great addition to the team.

Wouldn't it be funny if DA were now traded to the Bucs?

Winslow was the biggest reason that DA frequently did not have control of the huddle, and the disruptive influence couldn't have been good for the team's focus.

Winslow was boys with Frye, and I guess he had resentment towards DA. Along with his other issues.
