Timetable for Ilgauskas, Gibson and Pavlovic to return is up in the air

CLEVELAND: Zydrunas Ilgauskas is better, but still not ready to come back to the court.
Ilgauskas said Saturday that he has an inflamed disc in his lower back that was causing him debilitating pain a week ago when team doctors instructed him to cease all basketball-related activities for a while. Last Wednesday, Ilgauskas said he got an injection in his back and other medication plus rest have been helping him.
''I am feeling better. Now, when I get out of the car, I don't have to drop a lot of cuss words,'' he said. ''I think a lot of players at this point in their careers have some back problems, and mine just flared up, so I am dealing with it.''
Ilgauskas could not set a timetable on how much longer he thinks he'll need, but it will be at least a week. He's hoping to get back on the court to see how he feels in four or five days and then re-evaluate things.
In the locker room
• LeBron James was forced to call a timeout in the fourth quarter of the Cavs' 103-95 win over the Pacers because of a cramp in his left thigh. He fell to the baseline and had athletic trainer Max Benton try to massage it out. ''Everything is good,'' James said. ''I was able to relax and get rid of it.''
• Daniel Gibson, out for the last two weeks with a high ankle sprain, said Saturday it is feeling better every day but he is not close to doing any on-court work at this point. Both he and Sasha Pavlovic, out since January with a mid-foot sprain, are probably at least two weeks away from rejoining practice.
• James dunked the ball just ahead of the halftime buzzer, the fourth buzzer-beater he's had in a week. ''I'm never in a rush,'' James said. ''I slow down the clock in my head.''
• The Cavs announced their 24th sellout of the season Saturday, but only about 10,000 to 12,000 were able to make it due to blizzard conditions. The Pacers were snowed in and stayed overnight instead of flying home. Still, the Cavs players were surprised with how many fans were able to make it.
• Wally Szczerbiak scored 11 points, but was just 4-of-14 from the field. In eight games with the Cavs, he's shooting just 32 percent (27-of-85) overall and 38 percent (13-of-34) on 3-pointers.
• The Cavs swept the four-game season series against the Pacers and have now beaten them seven times in a row overall. Indiana has been without star forward Jermaine O'Neal for much of the season because of knee problems.
