Samardo Samuels has a crucial decision in front of him: He can’t decide whether to keep the headband or ditch it.
The problem is Samuels sweats so much during games, it drips into his eyes. He thought wearing a headband would help with that, but instead, the headband gets so wet, it slips down his forehead and is more irritating than the sweat.
C.J. Miles, a proponent of the headband, keeps poking fun at Samuels for his wavering.
“You’re either in or you’re out,” Miles joked with him. “I let you in the club. You can’t be going back and forth. It’s one or the other.”
Before the Cavs left on this trip, team equipment manager Mark Cashman poked fun at the size of Samuels’ head. He brought Samuels his headband that night by wrapping it around a basketball — to help stretch it out so it would fit.
Samuels wears a size 8 cap, “the biggest they make,” he said.
