Remi Dibo scored a career-high 20 points to lead host West Virginia to a victory over Iowa State, the Cyclones’ most lopsided loss of the season. Juwan Staten added 19 points and Eron Harris and Terry Henderson each had 16 points for the Mountaineers (15-10, 7-5 Big 12). Iowa State (18-5, 6-5) had five players in double figures, led by Georges Niang’s 17 points.
Kansas State 85, No. 7 Kansas 82
Marcus Foster scored 20 points, including two free throws in the closing seconds of overtime, and host Kansas State held on to beat Kansas. Will Spradling added 15 points for the Wildcats (17-7, 7-4 Big 12) for just their third win over the Jayhawks (18-6, 9-2) in 26 games played at Bramlage Coliseum.
No. 17 Virginia 61, Maryland 53
Joe Harris scored 19 points and host Virginia stretched its winning streak to eight games by beating Maryland in the Terrapins’ last visit as an ACC rival. Malcolm Brogdon added 14 points and Akil Mitchell had 13 for the Cavaliers (20-5, 11-1 Atlantic Coast Conference). Seth Allen scored 15 points for Maryland (14-11, 6-6).
