Athletic background: A three-year letter winner in football as a tailback and cornerback. Scheduled to earn his fourth letter in track and field this spring. He has competed in the 110-meter hurdles, 300 hurdles, 100, 400 relay, 800 relay and 1,600 relay. He can bench-press 315 pounds and squat 400 pounds. Harris and senior Colton Lewis, Thomas Breiding and Duncan Tedquist are captains with juniors Tim Breiding and Andrew Wilson. The team has 27 returning letter winners and 61 total athletes.
Record watch: Harris shares the Cuyahoga Falls school record time of 10.6 seconds in the 100 with Wade White from 1993. His top times in the 110 hurdles (14.60) and 300 hurdles (39.64) are just off school records. Pat Nelman (1971) and Eric Stolburg (1966) hold the 110 hurdles record at 14.50, and Rob Jones (2008) holds the 300 hurdles record at 38.21.
