Jerome Lane scored on a 1-yard touchdown run in overtime to give the visiting Falcons (1-2) a nonleague win over the Bulldogs (1-2).
Brian Groves scored on a 7-yard touchdown run in the second quarter to give the Bulldogs a 7-0 lead. The Falcons scored later in the quarter when Ja’Tice Shaw ran 30 yards to tie the score 7-7.
Lane finished with 102 yards on 16 attempts and also caught three passes for 46 yards to lead the Falcons. Groves rushed for 147 yards for the Bulldogs.
Copley 34, Orrville 28
Senior Aregeros Turner rushed for 213 yards and three touchdowns and also caught a touchdown pass for the host Indians (3-0) in a win over the Red Riders (1-2).
Turner caught a 62-yard touchdown pass from junior John Kromalic and had a 2-yard touchdown run in the first quarter to give the Indians a 13-0 lead.
Turner struck again in the second quarter with a 23-yard touchdown run, and sophomore Johnny Karam had a 12-yard interception return for a touchdown to give the Indians a 28-7 halftime lead.
The Red Riders came back in the fourth quarter as senior quarterback Kyle Lichti threw three touchdown passes to bring the Red Riders within a touchdown.
The Red Riders failed to recover an onside-kick attempt, and the Indians then held on to win the game.
St. Vincent-St. Mary 48, Woodridge 0
Senior Clayton Uecker threw a 95-yard touchdown pass to senior Fransohn Bickley to tie the longest touchdown in school history, and the visiting Fighting Irish (3-0) routed the Bulldogs (2-1) in a battle of 2-0 teams.
Junior Parris Campbell rushed for 186 yards and two touchdowns, including an 83-yard touchdown run in the first quarter.
Uecker also threw two touchdown passes to senior Jordan Hargrove and finished with 199 yards passing.
The 95-yard touchdown pass ties the record set in 1948, when Dick Hamlin connected with Dan Gillooly.
Springfield 20, Canton Central Catholic 19
Junior quarterback Chad Baker threw two touchdown passes in the final 4:35 of the game, including the game winner to junior Shane Robinson with 1:04 left in the game to give the host Spartans (1-2) a win over the Crusaders (1-2).
Baker threw a 25-yard touchdown pass to Robinson in the first quarter to give the Spartans an early 7-0 lead, but a touchdown run by Josh Fuchs and an interception return by Carter Blakeney gave the Crusaders a 13-7 halftime lead.
The Crusaders scored again in the fourth quarter before Baker threw a 32-yard touchdown pass to sophomore Deandre Andrus to bring the Spartans within a touchdown.
Baker finished with 150 yards passing and Robinson had 99 yards receiving in the win.
Tallmadge 26, Garfield 0
Daniel Ray had a 1-yard touchdown run and Anthony Gotto had a 14-yard rush for a touchdown to lead the host Blue Devils (2-1) over the Golden Rams (1-2).
The Blue Devils held the Golden Rams to 83 yards total offense and five first downs.
Coventry 41, East 13
Senior Dillon Headrick rushed for 322 yards and five touchdowns and the host Comets (2-1) rolled past the Dragons (0-3) in a nonleague game.
Headrick had touchdown runs of 50, 48, 30, 45 and 80 yards.
Hudson 38, Brecksville 21
The visiting Explorers (3-0) outscored the Bees (0-3) 31-7 in the second half, including 21 points in the third quarter, for the win.
Jared Ruffing had a 3-yard touchdown run, Mitchell Guadagni threw a 22-yard touchdown pass to Zack Brandy and Ross McLelland had an 11-yard interception return for a touchdown to give the Explorers a 28-21 lead at the end of the third quarter.
The Explorers finished the comeback in the fourth quarter when Guadagni threw a 33-yard touchdown pass to Tim Kennedy and Pierce Royster kicked a 27-yard field goal.
Ben Gedeon rushed for 102 yards and Guadagni threw for 243 yards to lead the Explorers.

Junior Jake Fisher threw an 11-yard touchdown pass and had a 1-yard touchdown run for the host Orangemen (1-2).
Sophomore Jacob Ibery rushed for 169 yards and a touchdown and junior Matt Geer rushed for 103 yards and a touchdown for the Orangemen.
Waterloo 56, Southington Chalker 16
Senior Tommy Saviers rushed for a school-record 311 yards to lead the visiting Vikings (1-2) over the Wildcats (1-2).
Saviers rushed for four touchdowns and broke the single-game rushing record set by Matt Boles in 1999.
CVCA 23, Leavittsburg Labrae 14
Senior Antonio Carroscia rushed for a touchdown and threw for another to lead visiting Cuyahoga Vallen Christian Academy (1-2) to its first win of the season.
Carroscia threw a 19-yard touchdown pass to senior Arthur Dunkley and senior Sherman Kortze had a 5-yard touchdown run for the Royals.
