Division I sectional
No. 1 seed Joey Thomas of Jackson will play Nick Comune of GlenOak in a sectional quarterfinal match for the right to advance to the district meet in the Division I boys tennis sectional.
Perry’s Winston Davis will play Canfield’s Ran Kaleel, Boardman’s Donnie Barrett, the tournament’s No. 2 seed, will play Perry’s Noah Ott and Boardman’s Kris Santilli will play Louisville’s Jake Pukys, the tournament’s No. 4 seed in other quarterfinal matches.
The winner of each match will advance to the district tournament.
Division II sectional
No. 1 seed Alec Bird of Canton Central Catholic will play Dakota Thomas of Orrville in a Division II sectional semifinal match. No. 3 seed Justin Bober of Archbishop Hoban will play No. 2 seed Josh Reyes of St. Thomas Aquinas in the other semifinal match. All four have already qualified for the district tournament.
Central Catholic’s Michael Murphy and Mason Bailey, the No. 1 doubles seed, will play St. Thomas Aquinas’ David Blate and Brad Duplin in a doubles semifinal. Orrville’s Cole Duskey and Colton Schrader, the No. 2 seed, will play Hoban’s Karl Icsman and Marko Horattas, the No. 4 seed in the other semifinal. The teams have qualified for the district tournament.

Senior Tim Falls had three RBI for the Golden Rams (5-11) in a Canton Division II sectional.
Cuyahoga Falls 5, Brecksville 3
Ryan Horrigan hit a solo home run, and Billy Marting doubled, singled and scored two runs to lead the Black Tigers (7-14) in a Hudson Division I sectional.
Revere 4, Wadsworth 3
Freshman Cheyenne Bondra hit a three-run double in the seventh inning with two outs as the host Minutemen (16-7, 7-6 Suburban) won.
