C.J. Miller threw a complete game shutout at home for the Crusaders. The senior right-hander gave up just two hits, struck out four Lions, and walked one batter.
Canton Central Catholic improved to 19-2 and Minerva fell to 10-8.
Marlington 1, Salem 0
Jake Beque was the star of the night for the Dukes (13-5), throwing a no-hitter and singling in his team’s only run of the game in the bottom of the fourth inning.
Norton 5, Ravenna 4
The Panthers (14-5) won in walk-off fashion in extra innings against the Ravens (2-7), thanks to an RBI single by senior catcher Olivia Jones with one out in the bottom of the eighth inning.
Walsh Jesuit 10, Notre Dame Cathedral Latin 0
Taylor Rahach threw a no-hitter on the road for the Warriors (17-3). The junior starter struck out 15 Lions. Both Lilli Piper and McKenzie Gerry homered for Walsh in the win.
Suburban League Tournament
Copley took first place in the tournament over runner-up Revere. Andrew Ong and Gavin Aten won two out of the three singles competitions. The doubles teams of Nick and Matt Adzema and Max Juszczec and Matt Kromalie won the doubles.
