Josh Williams scored 21 points to break Barberton’s sophomore-season scoring record and the host Magics (15-5) defeated the Railroaders (7-11) in a nonleague game.
Williams broke the sophomore scoring record of 389 points set in 1975 by Marty Bodnar who went on to play at Michigan.
The Magics trailed 17-12 after the first quarter but outscored the Railroaders 19-11 in the second quarter and went on a 19-4 run in the third quarter to pull away for the victory.
Senior Scott Sabol scored 17 points for the Magics.
Archbishop Hoban 66, NDCL 51
Senior Saadiq Muhammad scored 17 points and grabbed 10 rebounds, senior DeAllen Jackson scored 14 points and the host Knights (15-4, 6-2) defeated the Lions (12-7, 2-6) in a North Coast League game to give coach T.K. Griffith his 300th career coaching win.
The Knights led 15-11 after the first quarter and outscored the Lions 22-11 in the second quarter to blow open the game for the win.
Canton South 48, Alliance 46
Senior guard Armand Fontes scored his 1,000th career point and the host Wildcats (20-2, 12-2) defeated the Aviators (12-8, 10-4) to clinch the Northeastern Buckeye Conference regular-season title.
Fontes scored 14 points to lead the Wildcats. Junior Parrish Martin scored 21 points and junior J.J. Kukura scored 18 points for the Aviators.
CVCA 67, Tuslaw 33
Senior Bob Peters scored 23 points, had seven steals and seven assists to lead the host Royals (19-2, 13-1) to their first outright PAC-7 title on Senior Night.
Sophomore Luke Peters led the Royals with 10 rebounds and senior Caleb Kleibscheidel had six points and four blocks.
Green 65, Tallmadge 52
Seniors Dan Fanelly and Josh Pritchard each scored 13 points for the host Bulldogs (18-2, 11-2) in a Suburban League win over the Blue Devils (6-16, 2-11).
Sophomore Austin Marciniak scored 16 points for the Bulldogs and senior Anthony Gotto led the Blue Devils with 23 points.
Nordonia 72, Revere 64
Kenny Kitchen scored 19 points, Eugene Coleman scored 12 points and the visiting Knights (18-2, 13-0) remain undefeated in Suburban League play with a victory over the Minutemen (2-18, 1-12).
Nick Piotrowski and Chris Scott each scored 10 points for the Knights. Freshman Teddy Hughes led the Minutemen with 22 points.
Highland 40, Wadsworth 32
Sophomore Brogan Scott scored 13 points and sophomore Brennan Scott had 11 points and 12 rebounds for the host Hornets (12-8, 8-5) in a Suburban League win over the Grizzlies (10-10, 7-6).
Sophomore Austin White led the Grizzlies with 13 points.
Stow 66, Brush 57
Senior Matt Beech scored 27 points, senior Jacob Williams added 26 points and the host Bulldogs (10-11, 3-6) defeated the Arcs (12-7, 5-3) in a Northeast Ohio Conference game.
The Bulldogs led by two after the first quarter but went on a 17-6 run in the second quarter to pull away for the win.
North Canton Hoover 73, Massillon 50
Senior Dom Iero scored 27 points and senior Harrison Blackledge finished the game with 21 points and nine rebounds for the host Vikings (18-3).

Division II sectional (Northwest)
St. Vincent-St. Mary is in first place with 77 points after the first day of the Division II wrestling sectional at Northwest.
The Fighting Irish have 10 wrestlers in today’s semifinals.
Coventry is in second place, Norton in third place and Northwest in fourth place after Friday’s first round.
Division II sectional (Walsh Jesuit)
CVCA is in first place with a team score of 84 after Friday’s first round of the Division II wrestling sectional at Walsh Jesuit.
CVCA has 11 wrestlers moving on to today’s semifinal round.
Division III sectional (Rootstown)
Rootstown is in first place after Friday’s opening rounds of the Division III sectional at Rootstown.
The Rovers will have nine wrestlers competing in today’s semifinal matches.
