Senior Eli Linder and sophomore Jordan Adams each made two free throws in the last two minutes of the game to give the host Knights (7-6) the lead and the win over the Explorers (6-6) in a nonleague game.
The Explorers led 39-35 at the end of the third quarter after a 31-31 halftime tie, but the Knights rallied with a 12-5 fourth-quarter run for the win.
Junior Max Hartman led the Knights with 23 points. Senior Kevin Zullo guided the Explorers with 17 points.
Wadsworth 57, Buckeye 54
Senior Kyle Prunty made two free throws with 10 seconds remaining in the game to give the host Grizzlies (7-4) the nonleague win over the Bucks.
The Grizzlies survived a last-second 3-point attempt by the Bucks when senior Jeff Miller’s shot rolled around the rim and bounced out.
Prunty scored 32 points to lead the Grizzlies.
Ellet 87, Garfield 70
Senior Jake Williams scored 14 points, senior Dionte Williams scored 11 points and the visiting Orangemen (11-2, 4-2) defeated the Golden Rams (1-10, 1-5) in a City Series game.
Senior Brelyn Brewton scored 16 points, and senior Shai Wilson and junior Dionte Blanchard each scored 12 points for the Golden Rams.
East 66, Kenmore 52
Junior Derek Lewis scored 30 points, 23 in the second half, to lead the host Dragons (4-7, 4-2) to a City Series win over the Cardinals (3-7, 2-4).
The Cardinals led 31-26 at halftime but were outscored 40-21 in the second half. Lewis made five of his six 3-pointers in the second half to lead the Dragons’ comeback.
Senior Kenyon Philpott scored 14 points for the Dragons, and senior Eric Palmer led the Cardinals with 15 points and seven rebounds.
Archbishop Hoban 59, Northwest 40
Sophomore Anthony Christian scored 21 points and grabbed 12 rebounds for the visiting Knights (8-4) in a win over the Indians (5-7). Senior Christian Waite added 13 points for the Knights.
Senior Tristan Mullane led the Indians with 11 points.
GlenOak 48, Stow 47
Junior Corey Chapman scored 12 points, and the visiting Golden Eagles (9-5) defeated the Bulldogs (11-3) in a nonleague game.
Junior Brandon Grider scored 10 points for the Golden Eagles.
Senior Matt Beech led the Bulldogs with 25 points.
Barberton 68, Woodridge 39
Senior Zach Sperling led the host Magics (6-7) with 19 points in a rout of the Bulldogs (4-8). Senior Phil Washington added 14 points for the Magics.
Springfield 68, Waterloo 52
Senior Victor Dorsey scored 42 points to lead the visiting Spartans to a win over the Vikings. Senior Jake Kitchen added 10 points for the Spartans.
Senior Jacob Flarida led the Vikings with 16 points.
Warrensville Heights 69, St. Vincent-St. Mary 66
Sophomore V.J. King scored 23 points, and senior Jalen Hudson added 19 points for the host Fighting Irish (7-7) in a nonleague loss to the Tigers.
