Senior Josh Ricker scored seven of his 23 points in overtime to lead the host Black Tigers (11-4, 7-0) over the Tigers (6-8, 2-5) in a Northeast Ohio League game.

The Black Tigers led 31-23 at halftime and 44-34 at the end of the third quarter before the Tigers rallied with 24 points in the fourth quarter and tied the score on junior Shane Farmer’s bank shot at the buzzer.

The Black Tigers outscored the Tigers 11-8 in overtime for the win.

Senior Jacob Slone scored 17 points and junior Tyler Adams added 14 for the Black Tigers.

Field 62,
Kent Roosevelt 61 (OT)

Senior Austin Sparks made a free throw with seven seconds remaining in overtime to give the host Falcons (7-7, 5-3) the Portage Trail Conference-Metro Division win over the Rough Riders (9-7, 5-4).

Sparks made two free throws in overtime to give the Falcons a 61-60 lead and nailed the game-winning free throw after a technical foul on the Roosevelt coach.

Senior Macklin Coleman scored 23 points and grabbed 11 rebounds, and Sparks finished with 17 points for the Falcons.

Junior Phillip Maggard had 20 points to lead the Rough Riders.

Green 40, Copley 38

Nicholas Reale made the game-winning field goal with six seconds remaining in the game, and the visiting Bulldogs (10-4, 7-2) survived a missed 3-point attempt at the buzzer for the Suburban League win over the Indians (5-10, 3-6).

The Indians led 25-16 at halftime, but the Bulldogs rallied and outscored the Indians 24-13 in the second half for the win.

Junior Kenton Keeslar led the Bulldogs with 16 points, and senior Todd Williams led the Indians with 20 points.

Stow 47, Hudson 32

Senior Matt Beech scored his 1,000th career point, and the visiting Bulldogs (12-4, 5-2) defeated the Explorers (7-7, 2-5) in a Northeast Ohio Conference game.

The Bulldogs jumped out to an 11-5 first-quarter lead and scored 13 points in the second quarter to pull away.

Beech scored 19 points to lead the Bulldogs, and senior John Zuccaro led the Explorers with 13 points.

Firestone 65, Garfield 54

Sophomore Raybon Lewis scored 22 points to lead the visiting Falcons (6-7, 4-3) over the Golden Rams (1-11, 1-6) in a City Series game.

Junior Tionte Blanchard scored 14 points, senior Shai Wilson scored 12 points and senior Brelyn Brewton added 11 points for the Golden Rams.

Ellet 49, Kenmore 43

Senior Dionte Williams scored nine points in the fourth quarter to rally the host Orangemen (12-2, 5-2 City Series) over the Cardinals (3-8, 2-5).

The Cardinals led by one point at the end of the third quarter before Williams scored nine of his 16 points to help the Orangemen pull away for the win.

Senior Jake Williams had 12 points, 10 rebounds and six assists for the Orangemen, and sophomore Eric Palmer led the Cardinals with 12 points.

Nordonia 64,
Wadsworth 52

Junior Alex Alders scored 23 points, including four 3-pointers, and grabbed eight rebounds to lead the visiting Knights (8-7, 4-5) over the Grizzlies (8-6, 5-4) in a Suburban League game.

The teams played to a 17-17 tie in the first quarter, but the Knights went on an 18-12 run in the second quarter to break the game open.

Senior Eli Linder scored 12 points for the Knights, and junior Austin White led the Grizzlies with 17 points. Senior Kyle Prunty added 10 points and 13 rebounds for the Grizzlies.

CVCA 55, Triway 36

Mike Peters scored 17 points for the visiting Royals in a PAC-7 win over the Titans.

Marty Lee added 11 points for the Royals, and Jordon Miller led the Titans with 16 points and five rebounds.

Norton 76, Waterloo 54

Justin Blanks scored 24 points, senior Jeff Schulte added 16 points and the host Panthers (13-4, 7-1) defeated the Vikings in a nonleague game.

Walsh Jesuit 59,
Parma Padua 46

Sophomore Mitch Peterson scored 24 points, and the host Warriors (10-5, 4-2) defeated the Bruins (2-13, 0-8) in a North Coast League game. Junior Dom Mittiga scored nine points and grabbed 20 rebounds for the Warriors.
