Senior Jordan Matusik scored 17 points and the host Rockets (5-6, 4-2) survived a late rally and a missed tip-in at the buzzer for the Portage Trail Conference-Metro Division win over the Panthers (9-2, 5-1).
The Rockets led by five points at the start of the fourth quarter and led by two with one second remaining.
However, the Panthers failed to convert a possible game-tying tip-in after a missed free throw to give the Rockets the upset win.
Senior Aaron VanBuskirk led the Panthers in scoring with 22 points.

Junior Josh Ricker scored 16 points and the visiting Black Tigers (6-4) used a 14-2 run in the second quarter to defeat the Indians (5-6).

Senior Dan Fanelly scored 23 points, including 19 in the first half, and the host Bulldogs (10-0) continued their early season success with a non-league victory over the Golden Rams (0-9).

The visiting Golden Eagles outscored the Falcons 42-23 in the second half, including a 25-11 run in the third quarter, to rally for the non-league win. Junior Evan Kennerly scored 12 points and senior Jerome Lane added 11 points to lead the Falcons (6-5).
Hudson 68, Wadsworth 49
The visiting Explorers (7-2) used a 16-7 run in the second quarter to pull away for the non-league win.
Zach Brandy scored 25 points and Ben Gedeon scored 14 points and grabbed 12 rebounds for the Explorers.
Senior Halle Ponter rolled a perfect 300 to lead Twinsburg over Brunswick.
