No. 1 seed Ross Whittaker of Lake will play No. 4 seed Tony El-Hayek of Canfield and No. 2 seed Nathan Gardner of Jackson will play No. 3 seed Jake Lorenz of Perry in the Division I boys tennis quarterfinals this weekend at Weis Park in Canton.
Whittaker defeated Alex Plum of Green and El-Hayek defeated Joshua Duerr of Lake to advance. Gardner defeated Kevin Fisher of Barberton and Lorenz defeated Mark Dalvin of Canfield to set up their semifinal match.
The No. 1-seeded doubles team of Rob Demarco and Mike O’Connor of North Canton Hoover will play Tyler Fehr and Adam Jasso of Green in the top doubles quarterfinal match.
Ben Moore of St. Vincent-St. Mary and Alex Schaeffer of Marlington will play in the Division II tennis final today at the College of Wooster.
Moore, the No. 2 seed, defeated No. 3 seed Alec Bird of Canton Central Catholic and Schaeffer, the No. 1 seed, defeated Josh Wymyslo of Canton Central Catholic.

Junior Anthony Ondrejcak singled to score senior Chad Sedio in the bottom of the eighth to give the Hornets (20-5) the win over the Bulldogs in a Hudson Division I sectional win Sedio had a grand slam earlier in the game and scored the winning run after leading off the eighth with a double.
Lake 8, Green 2
Senior Justin Wagler homered, doubled, drove in two runs scored twice and got the save to lead visiting Lake (13-7) over Green (15-8) in a Canton Division I sectional final.
Coventry 5, Norton 3
Junior starting pitcher Jake Mazak struck out seven for the win and senior Tylor Radcliff had two doubles and two RBI for the Comets (13-7) in a Canton Division II sectional final win over the Panthers (9-12).
Archbishop Hoban 5, Manchester 3
Sophomore Kate Boylan pitched a complete game and went 2-for-4 with a single and a home run to lead the Knights (12-13) over the No. 1 seed Panthers (20-5). Senior Kaleigh Roop went 2-for-2 with a run and an RBI for the Knights.
