Green (1-0) went on a 16-8 run in the fourth quarter to break a 40-40 tie and pull away in the season opener Friday night.
Senior Dan Fanelly scored 20 points and grabbed 13 rebounds, senior Eddie Janini added 13 points and junior Carson Corle scored 10 points for Green.
Junior Jacob Williams scored 24 points, including five 3-pointers, to lead Stow.
Coventry 52, Southeast 50
Junior Jimmy Holmgren scored 17 points, and the host Comets (1-0) held off a late rally by the Pirates (0-1) for the Portage Trail Conference crossover win.
Trevor Norquess led the Pirates with 16 points.
Windham 72, Ravenna 68
Junior Jared Taylor made two foul shots with less than 20 seconds remaining in the game to give the host Bombers (1-0) the win over the Ravens (0-1).
Sophomore Parker Rickey scored 20 points and senior Cameron Pozsgai scored 15 points and grabbed 18 rebounds for the Bombers.
Nordonia 67, Hudson 58
Alex Alders scored 22 points and the visiting Knights (1-0) scored 40 points in the second half after trailing at halftime to win in their opener.
The Knights trailed by two at halftime and outscored the Explorers (0-1) 40-29 in the second half.
Senior Zack Brandy led the Explorers with 20 points.
Streetsboro 62, Garrettsville 49
Senior Ryan Matusik scored 20 points, including four 3-pointers, and the visiting Rockets (1-0) used a fourth-quarter run to pull away for a win over the G-Men (0-1).
The Rockets led by one point after the third quarter and outscored the G-Men 22-10 in the fourth quarter.
Seniors Brandon Gency and Devin Wrencher each scored 14 points for the Rockets.
North Canton Hoover 97, Cleveland Lincoln West 33
Senior center Harrison Blackledge scored 26 points and had eight rebounds and the host Vikings (1-0) dominated the Wolverines (0-1) in the season opener for both teams.
Senior Dom Iero scored 14 points and junior Tony Iero added 13 for the Vikings.
Marlington 64, Garfield 47
The visiting Dukes (1-0) went on a 21-8 run in the first quarter and never let up in a nonleague win over the Golden Rams (0-1).
Senior Shawn Kirk scored 24 points and senior Luke Strouble added 15 for the Dukes. Junior Noland Hamilton led the Golden Rams with eight points.
Norton 87, Waterloo 58
Junior Aaron VanBuskirk’s 20 points led the visiting Panthers (1-0) to an easy win over the Vikings (0-1).
Senior Tyler Sherman scored 19 points and grabbed 16 rebounds and junior Justin Blanks added 10 for the Panthers.
Sophomore Collin Michalec led the Vikings with 17 points.
CVCA 64, Woodridge 47
Senior guard Bob Peters scored 24 points to lead the host Royals (1-0) to a win over the Bulldogs (0-1).
Senior Caleb Kleibscheidel scored 11 points, nine in the first quarter, and pulled down a game-high nine rebounds for the Royals.
Nelson Perry led the Bulldogs with 17 points.
Swimming
Paige Kelly set a pool record in the girls 200- meter freestyle with a time of 2:09.00 and Ross Palazzo set a pool record in the boys 200-meter individual medley with a time of 2:06.13 to lead the Hudson boys and girls swimming teams to wins over North Canton Hoover.
The Hudson boys defeated Hoover 98-85 and the girls team won 122-63.
