Maddie Brandt

Brandt, a junior, won the all-around title with a score of 36.45 at the Medina Division I sectional meet. Brandt also won the vault (9.225) and the beam (9.125) and was second on the bars (9.025).
Kennedy Herbert
Green, swimming
Herbert, a junior, won the 100-yard breast stroke in a meet-record time of 1:05.79 and also won the 200 individual medley in 2:11.44 at the Akron Division I South sectional meet.
Zach Lawson
North Canton Hoover, hockey
Lawson, a sophomore, scored two goals and had an assist in a 3-1 win over Lakewood, scored three goals in a 4-3 win over Parma and had two goals in a 4-3 win over Mayfield to lead the Vikings to the Baron Cup III championship.
Demetrius Ray
East, basketball
Ray, a senior, scored 31 points and had nine rebounds, four assists, five steals, and a block in a 77-61 win over Kenmore and 22 points, three rebounds, two assists, five steals, and two blocks in an 82-80 overtime loss to Buchtel. Ray made 11 3-pointers in the two games.
Caitlin Vari
Revere, girls basketball
Vari, a freshman, had 30 points, 16 rebounds, two steals and two blocks in a 55-44 win over Nordonia and had 30 points and eight rebounds in an 81-35 win over Barberton. Vari made 24-of-34 shots in the two wins.
