Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy, track and field
Bockoven, a junior, placed first in three events and second in another in the Division II district meet at Bedford. She won the 1,600-meter run in 5:03.32, the 800 in 2:13.61 and ran a leg on the 3,200 relay that crossed in 9:56.77. She also contributed on the second-place 1,600 relay unit that clocked a 4:04.02.
Archbishop Hoban, softball
Clark, a freshman pitcher, led Hoban into the Division II district final in Canton by defeating No. 3 seed Norton 6-1 and No. 1 seed and previously undefeated Fairless, 1-0. She struck out four and allowed one hit against Fairless. In the championship against St. Vincent-St. Mary, she struck out a season-high 12 batters. For the tournament games, Clark went 2-1 with 21 innings pitched, 24 strikeouts, four walks and an ERA of 0.33.

Handley, a sophomore left-hander, led St. V-M to a 2-0 victory over Hoban in a Division II district final in Canton. She pitched a complete-game, three-hit shutout, striking out six and walking one, and hit a triple that scored two runs in the seventh inning. She also earned the win pitching in a 5-1 triumph over Canton South in a district semifinal.
Owens, a junior second baseman, helped Woodridge defeat St. Vincent-St. Mary and Tallmadge in the Division II district final at Canal Park in Akron. Between the two games, he went 2-for-4 at bat with a sacrifice fly, a walk, two hit by pitches, three RBI and two runs scored. He helped turn three double plays against Tallmadge in the district final and was 7-for-7 on his fielding chances.
Wadsworth, boys track and field
Williams, a senior, placed first in two events and second in another in the Division I district meet at Nordonia. He won the 100-meter dash in 10.84 seconds and the 200 in 21.88 seconds. He also contributed on the second-place 800 relay unit that finished in 1:29.21.
