Boys Soccer
Copley 6, Barberton 0 — Junior Brian Ruhaak, senior Josh Pollack and sophomore TJ White each had two goals to lead the host Indians (10-4-2, 7-0-0) to the Suburban League title on Thursday night. Copley junior Sam Galloway had three assists. Senior goalkeeper Mitch Ivasku, senior Matt Fisher and junior Kevin Ivasku were also pivotal in the win.
CVCA 2, WRA 0 — Senior Taylor Hamilton scored two goals to lead the Royals (13-1-1, 6-0-0) over the host Pioneers (10-5-1, 5-1-0) and to the Tri-County Soccer League title.
Jackson 2, Walsh Jesuit 1 — Senior Evan McCreary had two goals to lead Jackson (12-2-1) past host Walsh (6-5-4).
Canton McKinley 8, Massillon 2 — Freshman Florent Tessou and senior Alan Dominguez each scored two goals, and senior Sam Groves had three assists to lead the Bulldogs (7-7-2) on Senior Night.
Girls Soccer
Medina 3, Hudson 0 — Juniors Becca Candler, Jill Graf and Melissa Hill each scored a goal to lead the host Bees (13-0-2, 3-0-2) in an NOC match.
Walsh Jesuit 4, Mentor Lake Catholic 0 — Senior Jordan Finch, senior Alexis Garcia, sophomore Kelsey Smigel and freshman Christen Westphal each scored a goal to lead the visiting Warriors (13-1-1).
Firestone 4, WRA 2 — Sophomore Alana Gaither and senior Christine Black each scored a goal to lead the Falcons (3-11-2). Senior Anne Song of host WRA (8-6-4) scored her 22nd goal of the season.
Volleyball
Field 25-25-25, Kent Roosevelt 12-17-18 — Senior Traci Vandegrift (16 kills, three blocks) scored the final two points of the match with a kill and an ace serve to lead the visiting Falcons (20-1, 13-1) to the PTC Metro Division title.
Louisville 25-25-25, Northwest 19-27-22 — Dakota Harkins had 10 kills to lead the visiting Leopards (19-1, 14-0) to the NBC title.
Boys Division I Golf
Jackson (312) and Medina (318) advanced to the state tournament Wednesday after placing second and third, respectively in a district tournament at Pine Hills Golf Club in Hinckley. Jackson junior Jonathan Clark won the medalist honor after carding a 2-over-par 74. Other Polar Bears who scored were Byron Firestone (75), Angelo Palmer and Mike Rehfus.
Mark Maynard (76), Jason Klossing, Austin Schreiber and Ryan Rao scored for Medina.
Perry's Tyler Light and Brunswick's Ryan Szalay advanced as individuals.
