Green (25-3) vs. Pickerington North (29-3)
What: Division I semifinal.
When: 7 p.m. Friday.
Where: Huntington Park, Columbus.
About Green: The Bulldogs have made an improbable run to this year's final four. They do not feature a power-arm pitcher or a true standout player, but play fundamentally strong, team baseball. Junior Kurt Gamby will pitch Friday as well as hit third in the batting order. Seniors Jake DeLuca and Dickie Coombs provide left-handed punch to a lineup that constantly makes solid contact. The Bulldogs struck out just four times in their two regional games.
About Pickerington North: The Panthers have nine seniors, seven of whom are three-year starters. North enters the game hitting .407 with 24 home runs. Senior Alex Bayer, a Bowling Green football recruit, leads the way with a .515 average, seven home runs and 38 RBI in 97 at-bats. Senior pitcher Alex Borgan carries a 2.55 ERA with 48 strikeouts in 44 innings.
Other semifinal: Cleveland St. Ignatius (25-7) vs. Cincinnati Archbishop Moeller (22-5).
Title game: 7 p.m. Saturday.
Walsh Jesuit (25-3) vs. Columbus St. Francis DeSales (22-8)
What: Division II semifinal.
When: 7 tonight.
Where: Huntington Park, Columbus.
Broadcast: WCER (900-AM); http://www.wcer.usAbout Walsh Jesuit: High school players don't get much better than Warriors ace Tyler Skulina. A 6-foot-6, 235-pound junior, Skulina has a 0.87 ERA and an 8-0 record this season. He has 73 strikeouts in 481/3 innings and one of the Warriors' two no-hitters in the tournament. Junior Greg Greve has the other and is 7-0 with a 1.62 ERA this season. Junior Ryan Berry has hit four of his six home runs in tournament play. As a team, the Warriors are hitting .374 with 41 home runs this season. Walsh Jesuit is the defending Division II champion and has won three championships in the past five seasons.
About DeSales: DeSales is a pitching-heavy group, led by left-hander Thomas Gentile, the district player of the year.
Other semifinal: NDCL (21-5) vs. Canal Winchester (28-4).
Title game: 1 p.m. Saturday.
Garrettsville (20-5) vs. Gnadenhutten Indian
Valley (25-2)
What: Division III semifinal.
When: 10 a.m. today.

About Garrettsville: This will be the G-Men's first appearance in the state tournament. Expect senior Joe Collins, who shut down defending state champion Canton Central Catholic in the regional semifinals, and Jon Hartman to provide the one-two punch on the mound.
About Indian Valley: The Braves ride a 24-game winning streak into Columbus.
Other semifinal: Coldwater (30-2) vs. Hamilton Badin (28-2).
Title game: 10 a.m. Saturday.
