CLEVELAND: Rafael Perez (strained left lat) is back in Cleveland after throwing twice on a rehab assignment.
There have been no complaints about the two innings he threw and he suffered no physical setback. He threw a bullpen session Friday at Progressive Field and will take today and Sunday off. All of that was pre-planned.
But his regimen might change in one respect. Initially, Perez was scheduled to throw back-to-back days Monday and Tuesday for the Aeros. Instead, he might throw two innings in the same game, either Monday or Tuesday, though no decision has been made.
Either way, Perez should be activated next week.

After being called up for the second time this season July 8, Barnes pitched twice, giving up three runs and six hits in three innings. He also allowed two inherited runners to score.
