Indians notebook: Ryan Raburn to come off disabled list

Ryan Raburn (Achilles tendon strain) is eligible to come off the disabled list, and the plan is to activate him now.

“He hit in [Corey Kluber’s] simulated game,” Tribe manager Terry Francona said. “I don’t see a reason not to get him off the DL.’’

NEVER TOO MANY — By today, the Indians bullpen will be overstuffed with 14 relief pitchers.

Francona was asked jokingly if that was his dream bullpen.

“If they put up zeros, yes,” he said.

FARM FACTS — In his final rehab start, Josh Tomlin gave up one run, four hits and no walks, as Columbus defeated Toledo 2-1. Tomlin threw 52 pitches, 40 for strikes. ...
