I may be one of the few who is interested, but can you please give me an update on Lou Marson?
When can he come off of the DL? Is he still hurt, or are they keeping him on the DL so they can keep Yan Gomes up here without losing Lou? Does Lou have any options left?
I miss Lou’s enthusiasm and joy of playing.
Die impossible (not just diehard) Tribe fan
There is no enthusiasm like Lou Marson enthusiasm.
Does he have an option left? Good question. According to the Indians’ media guide, he does. Now that you know, you’re probably afraid that Lou will end up in Columbus when he comes off the DL.
He does have a legitimate injury. Whether he could return quicker if Gomes weren’t around, I can’t say.
Since Shin-Soo Choo was traded to the Reds, he is putting up numbers dramatically higher than his career averages. You may have to put on your Karnac hat to answer this question, but here goes.
Is this huge improvement because of:
1. It’s just a temporary anomaly, and he will return to normal form by season’s end.
2. Playing for a big free-agent contract next year
3. More positive atmosphere playing for a playoff contender
4. Who knows?
Who knows is always a sound answer to unanswerable questions in baseball. It might be all of the above.
Choo wouldn’t be the first player who put on a contract drive in his free-agent season. But I’m not even buying my own answer, because there is no way to know for sure.
Chris Perez is a joke. The Indians have several guys that can do a better job as a closer. Why don’t you say something about it?
I think I will.
Perez has succeeded in 84 percent of his career save opportunities. Have you succeeded 84 percent of the time in anything you do, other than sending absurd emails?
Go away, kid. You bother me.
