Notes: Kent State snapped a four-game losing streak with a 77-62 victory over Eastern Michigan on Saturday, a game in which they led by as many as 21 points in the second half — their largest lead in league play this season. … Western Michigan continues to cruise, using a 71-60 victory over Buffalo on Saturday to extend its winning streak to six games. … The Golden Flashes are led in scoring by senior guards Chris Evans (16.5 ppg) and Randal Holt (13.9). Holt’s five 3-pointers Saturday made him the school’s all-time 3-point shooter with 211, surpassing Trevor Huffman (1998-2002). … The Broncos have three players averaging double figures in scoring — junior center Shayne Whittington (12.4), senior forward Nate Hutcheson (11.0) and freshman forward Darius Paul (10.9).
