Georgia State’s (3-6) Gaby Moss hit a shot at the buzzer to condemn the Kent State Golden Flashes (3-5) to a defeat on Sunday afternoon at the M.A.C. Center.
Kent State scored the first 10 points of the game to take an early advantage, but was only able to finish the first half with a 22-20 lead.
In the second half, the lead changed hands four times.
CiCi Shannon and Ashley Evans led the Flashes offensively with 12 points each. Shannon and Evans also dominated the boards, collecting eight and six rebounds, respectively.
Coming off the bench, Cheylene Harper contributed 11 points, a rebound and a steal.
The Golden Flashes will take on the University of Massachusetts Dec. 17.
