Guard Josh Kline to play in post season All-Star game
Senior left guard Josh Kline has been selected to play in the Texas vs. the Nation All-Star game Feb. 2 at Eagle Stadium in Allen, Texas.
Since 2007, Texas vs. Nation has matched top collegiate senior all-stars with ties to the state of Texas against top seniors from around the nation.
Kline, a 6-foot-3, 310-pound ofensive lineman from Mason will be the first Kent State player to compete in the game, which can be seen on Fox Sports Southwest at 2:30 p.m. Eastern.
Kline earned All-Mid-American Conference Second Team honors this past season. He helped the Golden Flashes produce a pair of 1,300-yard rushers (Trayion Durham, Dri Archer). Prior to 2012, Kent State had never had two running backs gain 1,000 yards in the same season.
With Kline's help, KSU's offensive line also had a stretch of allowing just three sacks over eight games. Kline has been training at home at Ignition in preparation for Kent State’s Pro Day in March.
