Bethune-Cookman (1-2) vs. Kent State (2-2)
Time: 7 p.m. today.
Where: M.A.C. Center in Kent.
Radio: WHLO (640 AM).
Notebook: This is the third of four games for the Golden Flashes in the Joe Cipriano Nebraska Classic. Kent State will also travel to Lincoln to face the Huskers on Saturday. … The Flashes are coming off a tough 88-83 overtime loss to Valparaiso on Sunday. Kent State needed only a rebound before having the game ripped from their hands in regulation. Randal Holt scored 20 points and had five steals, and he continues to lead a team searching for its identity. Coach Rob Senderoff questioned his team’s toughness after the loss. Bethune-Cookman just notched its first win, a 71-65 victory over New Orleans on the road. Senderoff said he was worried about KSU’s defense, and the Flashes will have their hands full while trying to slow down Adrien Coleman, B-C’s athletic 6-foot-5 forward averaging 14.3 points per game. He also leads B-C in rebounds, assists and steals.
