Kent State to play Arkansas State in the Bowl

The Golden Flashes have been selected to make their first bowl appearance in four decades in the Bowl against Arkansas State on Jan. 6 in Mobile, Al. 

After starting the season 2-3, the RedWolves rattled off seven wins in a row and scored at least 34 points in all seven games. Arkansas State has won the past two Sun Belt Conference titles, this year beating Middle Tennessee 45-0. 

The RedWolves are led by quarterback Ryan Aplin (3,129 yards, 24 touchdowns), running back David Oku (1,024 yards, 15 touchdowns) and receiver J.D. McKissic (92 catches, 909 yards, four touchdowns). 

Single-game tickets for KSU will go on sale Tuesday at noon.
