Amber Dunlap scored nine points to lead the Kent State women’s basketball team in a Mid-American Conference loss to Bowling Green on Thursday night at the M.A.C. Center.
The Golden Flashes (3-10, 0-2 MAC) trailed by seven at halftime, and scored 26 points in the second half but could not keep up with the MAC East-leading Falcons (12-2, 2-0 MAC).
Ashley Evans scored seven points and had five rebounds and six assists, and Larissa Lurken had seven points and six rebounds for the Flashes.
Jillian Halfhill scored 15 points, and Jill Stein added 12 points and grabbed 11 rebounds for the Falcons. Stein also led the team in steals with four, and also had a block and an assist in the game.
The Golden Flashes will travel to Muncie, Ind., on Sunday to play Ball State at 2 p.m.
