Senior guard Amber Dunlap and junior forward Montia Johnson each scored 14 points for the Kent State University women’s basketball team in a 69-61 loss to Massachusetts on Tuesday night at the M.A.C. Center in Kent.
The Golden Flashes (3-7) led 29-25 at halftime, but were outscored 44-32 in the second half by the Minutemen (3-7).
Janae Peterson scored nine points and grabbed seven rebounds, Ashley Evans scored eight points and Mikell Chinn grabbed seven rebounds and had four assists for Kent State.
Chinn also led the Golden Flashes with three steals.
Kim Pierre-Louis scored 18 points, and Jasmine Harris added 14 for the Minutemen.
The Flashes host St. Bonaventure at 7 p.m. Friday in the final nonconference game of the season.
