What: Three-game series.
When/where: 3 p.m. Friday, 1 p.m. Saturday and 1 p.m. Sunday at UA's Lee Jackson Field.
Records: Kent State is 29-17, 12-6 in Mid-American Conference; UA is 23-19, 7-8 in MAC.
Coaches: Scott Stricklin (133-82) is in his fourth season at KSU; Pat Bangtson (61-79) is in his third season at UA.
Notebook: The Golden Flashes stand first and the Zips third in the MAC's East Division, with two weekends left in the regular season. The top three teams in each division and two wild cards reach the MAC Tournament. . . . The Flashes edged the Zips 16-15 on April 16 in the Diamond Classic for Kids at Canal Park in a game that did not count in the MAC standings. . . . Doug Sanders (.378) and Chris Trembley (.355) are the Flashes' top two hitters. Greg Rohan is the team leader in home runs (14) and RBI (45). . . . For UA, Kevin Haas (.365) and John Turk (.336) lead the team in hitting. Doug McNulty paces the Zips in home runs (10), and Kurt Davidson leads in RBI (39).
