Kent State 77, Maryland-Eastern Shore 47 — Freshman Jena Stutzman scored 20 points, including six 3-pointers, and the host Golden Flashes (11-1) easily defeated the Hawks for their eighth win in a row.

Stutzman led all scorers and finished with four steals, three assists and three rebounds. It was the third time this season that Stutzman has made six 3-pointers in a game.

Also providing offense for the Flashes was senior Ashley Harkins, who scored a season-high 14 points.

KSU was never seriously challenged in the game, leading 36-21 at halftime. Senior center Anna Kowalska scored 15 points and the Flashes had a season-high 18 steals.

The win gives KSU an 11-1 record in nonconference play, the best in school history. KSU begins conference play Wednesday when it hosts defending MAC champion Bowling Green (11-2).
