No. 7 Duke 75,
Virginia Tech 60

Austin Rivers scored 18 points, Ryan Kelly had 15, and visiting Duke used a late first-half run to open a double-digit lead it never relinquished.

The score was tied 21-all when Duke started pounding it inside. Kelly had seven points in the 13-2 spurt that helped the Blue Devils (19-3, 6-1 ACC) pull away. Rivers hit a 3-pointer, and Kelly scored the last five in a 10-0 burst in the second half when Duke extended its lead to 62-40 with 11:19 remaining. The loss was the seventh in eight games for Virginia Tech (12-10, 1-6).

No. 10 Murray State 81, Southeast Missouri St. 73

Isaiah Canaan scored 32 points and host Murray State remained unbeaten. Jewuan Long added 13 points for Murray State (22-0, 10-0), which is off to the best start by an Ohio Valley Conference team since Western Kentucky opened 21-0 in 1953-54. Marcus Brister had 17 points and eight rebounds for the Redhawks (12-10, 7-3).

No. 12 Florida 74, South Carolina 66

Kenny Boynton scored 24 points, Bradley Beal had his fourth double-double and host Florida earned its sixth consecutive victory. The Gators (18-4, 6-1 SEC) made 11-of-12 free throws in the final 1:09 to extend their home winning streak to 18 games. Bruce Ellington led South Carolina (9-12, 1-6 SEC) with 15 points.

Big Ten

Northwestern 84,
Nebraska 74

John Shurna scored 28 points and Drew Crawford added 21 as host Northwestern beat Nebraska (11-10, 3-7). Northwestern (13-8, 3-6) dominated behind the arc, making 14 3-pointers to end a three-game losing streak. Brandon Richardson’s steal and layup cut Northwestern’s lead to 54-53 with 10:36 left, but Northwestern scored nine unanswered points.
