Saturday’s American League results
Orioles 2, Yankees 1 — Adam Jones hit a two-run homer off Mariano Rivera in the ninth inning and the visiting Baltimore Orioles beat the Yankees on Sunday, ending New York’s longest winning streak of the season at six games. David Robertson worked a 1-2-3 eighth and Rivera (1-2) entered looking to reach 30 saves for the 15th time, which would break a tie with Trevor Hoffman for the major league record.
Blue Jays 11, Twins 5 — Todd Redmond pitched one-hit ball over five innings for his first major league win and the host Toronto Blue Jays hit three home runs to beat the slumping Minnesota Twins. Rajai Davis hit a three-run homer and Jose Reyes and Colby Rasmus also connected for the Blue Jays, who have won 10 of the last 13 against Minnesota.
Rays 3, White Sox 1 — David Price went the distance to win his second straight start since returning from an injury as the host Tampa Bay Rays completed a three-game sweep by beating the Chicago White Sox. Price (3-4) worked around eight hits, walking none and striking out five.
Athletics 10, Royals 4 — Josh Reddick homered and drove in four runs to cap a big series for Oakland, Jed Lowrie and Eric Sogard also went deep and the visiting Athletics beat the Kansas City Royals.
Rangers 5, Astros 4 — A.J. Pierzynski hit a three-run homer, Nelson Cruz had a tie-breaking single in the fifth inning and the host Texas Rangers beat the Houston Astros. Cory Burns (1-0) got the win, and Joe Nathan pitched a perfect ninth for his 29th save in 30 chances.
Angels 3, Red Sox 0 — Jered Weaver combined with three relievers on a five-hitter, All-Star Mike Trout and Hank Conger homered and the host Los Angeles Angels defeated the Boston Red Sox.
Saturday’s National League results
Nationals 11, Padres 7 — Ryan Zimmerman hit a grand slam, Bryce Harper added three hits and two stolen bases, and the host Washington Nationals sent the San Diego Padres to their ninth straight loss. Stephen Strasburg (5-6) allowed four runs over six innings.
Phillies 7, Braves 3 — Freshly chosen All-Star Domonic Brown homered, tripled and drove in two runs, leading the host Philadelphia Phillies over the Atlanta Braves. Ben Revere hit a two-run triple for Philadelphia, which took two of three from the NL East-leading Braves.
Mets 2, Brewers 1 — Jeremy Hefner allowed one run on two hits over seven innings and the visiting New York Mets turned two throwing errors by Milwaukee third baseman Juan Francisco into a pair of unearned runs and a victory over the Brewers.
Cardinals 3, Marlins 2 — Lance Lynn outpitched Marlins All-Star Jose Fernandez for his 11th win and Matt Holliday homered for the host St. Louis Cardinals in a victory that wrapped up a three-game sweep.
Cubs 4, Pirates 3 (11 innings) — Pinch hitter Dioner Navarro had a game-ending sacrifice fly in the 11th inning, lifting the host Chicago Cubs to a victory over the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Dodgers 4, Giants 1 — A.J. Ellis hit a three-run double in the ninth inning, All-Star Clayton Kershaw had a third straight stellar start and the visiting Los Angeles Dodgers beat the slumping San Francisco Giants.
Diamondbacks 6, Rockies 1 — Patrick Corbin gave up three hits in eight innings to finally get his 10th victory and the host Arizona Diamondbacks beat Colorado for their fifth straight win and a dominant three-game sweep of the Rockies.

Mariners 3, Reds 1 — Joe Saunders pitched seven efficient innings and Nick Franklin and Justin Smoak each homered to lift the visiting Seattle Mariners to a win over the Cincinnati Reds.
