Rays 3, Orioles 1 — Matt Moore pitched seven innings of five-hit ball to stay unbeaten, Luke Scott and Matt Joyce homered and the visiting Tampa Bay Rays beat the Baltimore Orioles on Sunday for a three-game sweep.
Red Sox 5, Twins 1 — John Lackey allowed one hit over six innings before a three-hour rain delay, Dustin Pedroia and Will Middlebrooks homered and the visiting Boston Red Sox beat the Minnesota Twins for their fifth straight win.
Angels 6, White Sox 2 — Jason Vargas scattered four hits through seven scoreless innings, Erick Aybar and Howie Kendrick each hit two-run doubles, and the host Los Angeles Angels coaxed two bases-loaded walks out of Jake Peavy in the fourth inning of a victory over the Chicago White Sox.
Athletics 4, Royals 3 — Yoenis Cespedes hit a leadoff home run in the eighth inning and the Oakland Athletics beat the visiting Kansas City Royals to complete a three-game sweep.
Rangers 11, Tigers 8 —David Murphy put Texas ahead with a three-run home run, and the host Rangers spoiled a three-homer game from Miguel Cabrera with a victory against the Detroit Tigers.

Sunday’s National League results
Marlins 2, Diamondbacks 1 — Ricky Nolasco struck out 11 and the Miami Marlins stopped a season-high seven-game losing streak, holding off the visiting Arizona Diamondbacks. The Diamondbacks scored once in the ninth. Mike Dunn, the Marlins’ third pitcher of the inning, got pinch-hitter A.J. Pollock to ground out on a 3-2 pitch with the bases loaded to end it.
Braves 5, Dodgers 2 — Ramiro Pena had a tiebreaking sacrifice fly in a four-run eighth inning, Jordan Schafer drove in two runs and the host Atlanta Braves rallied against the Los Angeles Dodgers’ beleaguered bullpen for a victory on a rain-soaked afternoon.
Phillies 3, Reds 2 — Freddy Galvis and Erik Kratz each homered off closer Aroldis Chapman in the bottom of the ninth inning, rallying the host Philadelphia Phillies past the Cincinnati Reds for a stunning victory.
Cardinals 4, Brewers 2 — David Freese had an RBI in a four-run fourth inning to go with big plays at third base, and the host St. Louis Cardinals beat former teammate Kyle Lohse for the third time this season with a victory over the Milwaukee Brewers.
Mets 4, Cubs 3 — Daniel Murphy hit a tiebreaking home run in the eighth inning and the host New York Mets beat the Chicago Cubs for their first series win at Wrigley Field since 2007. Murphy hit a leadoff shot against reliever Kyuji Fukikawa (1-1).
Padres 13, Nationals 4 — Andrew Cashner pitched 6⅔ strong innings and Kyle Blanks and Will Venable homered off Dan Haren to lead the host San Diego Padres to a victory against the Washington Nationals and a split of their four-game series.
Rockies 5, Giants 0 — Juan Nicasio scattered three hits over six innings, Carlos Gonzalez and Troy Tulowitzki each drove in two runs and the host Colorado Rockies won their first series over San Francisco in two years, beating the Giants.
