Kyle Lowry scored 23 points, Jonas Valanciunas had 17 points and 10 rebounds, and host Toronto beat Milwaukee to hand the struggling Bucks their sixth straight loss.
DeMar DeRozan added 19 points, Patrick Patterson 18 and John Salmons 10 as Toronto won for the eighth time in nine games. The Atlantic Division leaders snapped a five-game home slide against the Bucks, beating them in Toronto for the first time since Jan. 22, 2010.
The Raptors won their second straight over Milwaukee after losing the previous 10 meetings.
The victory gave Toronto its first five-game home winning streak since Dec. 14, 2012, to Jan. 2, 2013. At 19-17, the Raptors are two games above .500 for the first time since March 9, 2010, when they were 32-30.
Rockets 104, Celtics 92
Dwight Howard had 32 points and 10 rebounds, and Houston beat host Boston to send the skidding Celtics to their ninth consecutive defeat.
Jeremy Lin added 16 points and nine assists for Houston, and Chandler Parsons added 14 points after missing three games with a knee injury. Parsons is having a breakout season, averaging 17.5 points (on 51.7 percent shooting) and 5.4 rebounds.
Avery Bradley had 24 points for the Celtics, on their longest losing streak since dropping a franchise-record 18 straight games in 2007.
Spurs 101, Pelicans 95
Tony Parker capped a 27-point outing with several clutch layups in the final minutes and San Antonio won its fifth straight game, over reeling host New Orleans.
Tim Duncan scored 18 points before fouling out with 6:02 to go in what turned out to be a surprisingly tense contest between the Western Conference-leading Spurs and a hobbled Pelicans squad that has now lost six straight since an injury to leading scorer Ryan Anderson.
Manu Ginobili added 14 points, Kawhi Leonard 13 and Marco Belinelli 12 for San Antonio.
Anthony Davis had 22 points and 11 rebounds, and gave New Orleans its last lead at 87-86 with 7:08 to play. Brian Roberts scored 19 points.
Wizards 102, Bulls 88
John Wall and Nene had 19 points apiece, Trevor Ariza scored 16 and Washington beat host Chicago.
The Wizards led by 13 early in the fourth quarter and hung on after Chicago made one final push, snapping the Bulls’ five-game win streak.
Nene scored eight points in the final period and Bradley Beal came on strong down the stretch to finish with 13. He hit a jumper and 3-pointer during a nine-point run that bumped Washington’s lead to 96-82 with 3 minutes left after Chicago pulled within five.
Wall scored four points during that spurt and had seven assists in the game.
Ariza hit a trio of 3-pointers and the Wizards came away with the win after dropping five of seven.
Knicks 98, Suns 96 (OT)
Carmelo Anthony had 29 points and 16 rebounds, and host New York held Phoenix without a field goal in overtime to win its fifth straight victory. Anthony scored four of the Knicks’ six points in the extra session, and New York allowed only four free throws while forcing the Suns to miss all seven shots.
Raymond Felton added 19 points for the Knicks, tied with Brooklyn for eighth place in the Eastern Conference.
Mavericks 107, Magic 88
Monta Ellis scored 21 points, Dirk Nowitzki added 15 and host Dallas extended Orlando’s longest losing streak of the season to eight games. The Mavericks won their third straight against sub-.500 teams since a blowout loss at San Antonio.
Jazz 118, Nuggets 103
Alec Burks scored a career-high 34 points to spark host Utah to victory.
Derrick Favors added 19 points and 15 rebounds while Trey Burke had 18 points for the Jazz, who won their fifth game in the last six home starts.
Burks was filling in for injured Gordon Hayward.
