Kevin Durant notched his first career triple-double with 25 points, 13 rebounds and a career-high 10 assists, and the Oklahoma City Thunder (8-3) beat the Golden State Warriors on Sunday night.
Durant turned it over just twice and pumped his right fist after he set up Kevin Martin’s 3-pointer with 4:57 to play for his 10th assist. The play also helped the Thunder hold on after Golden State (5-5) cut a 21-point deficit to seven in the fourth quarter.
Stephen Curry led the Warriors with 22 points, and David Lee chipped in 19 points and 10 rebounds.
Russell Westbrook scored 30 points and passed out seven assists, and Martin scored 23 off the bench as Oklahoma City had a season-high 31 assists for the second straight game and had a season high in points.
Pistons 103, Celtics 83
Greg Monroe had 20 points and 13 rebounds to lead the Detroit Pistons to their first home win of the season, over the Boston Celtics.
The Pistons (2-9) had blown double-digit leads in each of their first three home games, but were never seriously threatened by Boston down the stretch. The Celtics, playing their fourth game in five nights, hit only four 3-pointers and trailed by as many as 22 points.
Jason Maxiell added 15 points for the Pistons, who had six players in double figures and shot 54.5 percent for the night.
Jared Sullinger led the Celtics with 16 points, while Kevin Garnett had 15.
Nets 99, Kings 90
Reserve forward Andre Blatche scored 22 points to lead the Brooklyn Nets over the struggling Sacramento Kings (2-8) for their fifth straight win. The Nets (6-2) matched the team’s best start since the 2002-03 season when they went to the NBA finals. Deron Williams had 14 points and 10 assists for the Nets.
Knicks 88, Pacers 76
Carmelo Anthony had 26 points and nine rebounds, and the Knicks (7-1) bounced back from their first loss of the season, beating the Indiana Pacers (4-7). JR Smith added 13 points and Raymond Felton had 11 for the Knicks in their only home game in a span of seven games.
Raptors 97, Magic 86
DeMar DeRozan scored 20 points, Amir Johnson had 14 of his 15 points in the fourth quarter and the Toronto Raptors (3-7) beat the slumping Magic (3-6). Andrea Bargnani had 17 points, Linas Kleiza scored 10 of his 12 points in the fourth and Jose Calderon had a season-high 18 assists for the Raptors, who had lost six of their previous seven home meetings with Orlando.
